Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology
Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology also called Clinical Laboratory Science is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases through the use of clinical laboratory tests. In this course, the students learn to perform tests that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The Course will give students insights of how Medical laboratory technicians assist Physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by performing a test on tissue, blood, and other body fluids. They determine the presence, extent or absence of disease and provide data needed to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment.
Medical lab technician is an Allied Health specialty concerned with the diagnosis, treatments, and prevention of diseases through the use of clinical laboratory tests. Medical laboratory professionals have unlimited choices of practice setting. Hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, public Health facilities, and commercial laboratories all have positions open right now for qualified laboratory professionals.
This program also equips candidates with the knowledge and skills required to handle advanced lab equipment and perform accurate laboratory tests. with the advances in the imaging technology for various tissues consisting of different organ systems in the human body such as X-rays, Ultrasound, sonography CT-scanning, MRI, PET-scanning, etc. there is a great demand for the imaging technologists. Keeping this in mind a course of studies at bachelor level has been designed to fulfill the need of skillful imaging technologies.
An Aim of the course is to teach and train students in the management of operation theater along with handling a variety of operating instruments including electronic and advanced equipment used in modern operation theaters.

Eligibility Criteria For Admission To The Course
Should have passed 10+2 Examination with Science (PCB and English from recognized board under AISSCE / CBSE / ICSE / SSCE / HSCE or other equivalent board.
Should secure an aggregate of 50% or more marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
Should have completed the minimum age of 17 years on or before the 31st December 2019 and not exceeding the maximum age of 35 years as on 31st December 2019
Candidates found guilty of misconduct or convicted of any offense shall not be eligible for admission.
Candidates should be medically fit.
